Thank you for all the well wishes, angbaos and gifts from friends, colleagues, nurses, doctors and most importantly my family/ relatives!
Bb is fine and I'm recovering from the labour.. Your prayers and those who came specially to visit us at the hospital - we deeply appreciated it!
Melvin and I are very touched by the concerns shown to us during this time.. I have even gotten well wishes from abroad. We are indeed very blessed to have your support.. And yes mum.. Thank you for the extra nutritious & delicious homecooked meals!
Got a piece of advice frm a nurse this morn.. She told me that its "pang tan" (superstitious) to let ppl knw tat you are well because there are "those" who wants to see the opposite. Scary isn't it??
But I trust that there are No such ppl around me..

Had my epidural jab.. Haha, kind of stressed my doc out with my screaming when he broke my water bag this morning! Blessed the doctors/ researchers who came up with epidural.

My cousins (Eurodias and Lydias) are having their "Career Day" in school tomorrow, hence they are rehearsing with the costumes on what they wanna be...
Eurodias (aka the SIA Girl) gotten her mini-stewardess uniform from my uncle in SG... Lydias who has no new costume, decided to wear her Cheongsam from CNY.. she will be going as a "Chinese Supermodel"...
Children are so lovely with their innocence! Try asking them to catwalk in another couple more years and see if they will oblige!

Shopping became kind of meaningless for me since I can't buy shoes or clothes these days... so I usually spend my days at home...
Spent my last weekend watching 2 movie DVDs - The Karate Kid and Ong Bak III..
Karate Kid is pretty good.. as for Ong Bak III... I almost throw up half way through the show. Story line is damn bo liao loh... began with Tony Jaa being up as prisoner by a ruthless king... he was whipped, hammered, tortured endlessly. He was bleeding so badly during the first hour or so... finally rescued by someone (don't ask me who)... The whole show was very confusing as they kept playing flash back...
So after being rescued and brought to a village to recuperate, Tony was wrapped up like a mummy.. the villagers prayed for him... and he escaped from death! He was crippled and wanted to commit suicide.. after a monk spoke to him, Tony crawled into a huge hollow tree and VOILA... He emerged well and able to walk and fight as per before. Ridiculous anot??!!

I super cannot tahan the noise from the renovation work downstair!!!
So as you know.. I have been spending my day (time) at my mum's place... but since last week, there has been ths terrible noise from the upgrading work to build a new lift for the carpark block which is just right in front of our block. Super duper noisy can!!!!
Why do they need a lift at a small carpark?? It is only like 4 storey high... I can assure you the loud thumping noise from the hacking work is so terrible that you would rather climb the stairs!! And it has been extra extra loud today... sleeping is impossible.. watching tv is tough and even chatting is difficult as you have to be even louder than that irritating noise! And it goes on... and on... and on...
Come to think of it... staying in Circuit Road is convenient...location wise. It is accessible by many buses, green MRT line, circle line.. but ever since we moved here 20 years ago... there have been all sorts of upgrading going on... one after another... never peace and quiet around the neighbourhood. Started with the demolishing of old flats around our block... then building of new 4 & 5-room flats... a few years later, we had upgrading of our toilet and utility room done... when you think all is over... they started with the building of Circle line behind our block... Argh! Not to mention the noise from the military planes that always fly by our estate in the afternoon!
I think we can wake up the deads with the amount of noise!

So I have been hanging out at my mum's place while waiting for my bb to pop... everyday I will come with my helper, early in the morning and stay here throughout the day while waiting for Melvin to fetch us home after work...
Not only that I got to eat hot homecook meals for dinner, enjoy my favourite noodles from the markets here for breakfast, someone to chit chat with in the afternoon... most importantly, I get to listen to mum's hilarious conversations with my helper, Siti...
Mum who speaks limited Malay and English teaching Siti on how to cook vege...
Mum: "Siti, you don't kajiao kajiao the vegi, let it bowl."
Siti: "Ok mdm."
Seriously, do you understand what the instruction is?
I think my mum meant - Don't keep stir the vege, let it boil... Wahahahaa!
Just yesterday...
Mum: "Siti, you never wash the fan ah? Remember to wash tomorrow. Is it black black you cannot see?"
Siti: "Yes mdm... heheheee"
*Roaring with laughter*
I think my mum was asking her if the living room was too dim and that's why Siti didn't see that the fan is dirty."
I think only the 2 of them truly understand each other!!

Overdue pictures taken on last Wed.. It was a beautiful day.. bright and sunny, this photo was taken using iphone... so sharp and clear right?
After my (now) weekly checkup at Mt Alvernia, Melvin and I went to have dim sum at Yan Palace... he is so crazy over their popiah!
E-Fu noodles was not nice at all... a little too bland and only has mushrooms.. S$12 somemore...
Guess which one did I order? Mango Sago or Durian with Glutinous Rice...
Of course the mango sago - Mango being my favourite food of all time!

Am blogging from my iphone.. Love technology and the convenience that comes along with it!!
Feet get swollen easily so can't sit or walk for too many hours at one go.. Got to lie down frequently for the water retention to ease. So no more shopping for the time being. Very scary ok if you see my feet.. Very puffy!!
Many people ask me to walk more as it will aid my delivery process but seriously i get so tired so easily these days.. Try to go for walks with my naughty doggy everyday.. Hope it will help.
Going to catch a nap now.. Till i blog again.. Enjoy what's remaining of yr weekend!!

My back is aching so badly today! Argh! I need a back rub... sob sob!

I used to use Bodyshop, Olay skin care products back in younger days... but my stubborn freckles made me switch to the higher end brands as they are more effective. I swear by Skin Tech products! You can only get them from dermatologist or beauty salon... but I can't use such strong products since I'm pregnant.. I have switched back to off the shelf products. Am giving these whitening cream and scrub from The Face Shop a try.
And talking about the "Major Damage"...
GUCCI! I have been thinking about getting another bag for myself since earlier this year so when I saw this - decided to go ahead with it! No pic of the actual bag, haha.. you will see it when you meet me!
Moving on.. we (6 of us) went to watch Resident Evil: Afterlife at Great World City yesterday.. movie was so-so.. we still prefer the part 1 & 2 better! Love watching the survivors got chased by the zombies.. no no, we are not physcos! We just prefer good old fashion horror!

I was almost done because I skipped the crabs... so was taking pictures of them happily digging in.
Delicious Mee Goreng - one of the best that I have tasted! Although, mee goreng is a malay dish but I still find that the Chinese made the better ones around!
They said that they Chilli Crab is better than the black pepper one.

Tuesday - Went Orchard with mum and sis.. did some shopping... ok ok, did major damage.. sis treated us to lunch at Din Tai Fung. Collected the work permit for my helper and came home for Dai Di with them!
Wednesday - Went for my check-up.. nurse said that I lost weight since my last visit so have to do a heart beat test for my bb. Lucky because he seems to be growing well.. but have to do another heart beat test next week.. $$ flying away as we have to pay for these extra tests. Had Dim Sum and run some errands in the afternoon as Melvin has the whole day off
I can get used to this kind of life... except that I have gotten some lousy news from the office today... let's see how it goes...

1st weekend, the start of a tai-tai lifestyle (quoting my colleagues).. so what have I been doing... Nothing much though.. went to Loyang temple and also went to eat Selegie beancurd after dinner yesterday.
Now that I do not have to work nor do the housework anymore... it is like suddenly I have so much time on hand! Seriously, I do not like to sit around and wait for time to pass so die-die have to find things to occupy myself with.
Decided to cook prawn mee for my family since mum, bro, sis will be popping by later... So went to Ang Mo Kio market for breakfast and to buy the ingredients needed. The fried carrot cake and wanton mee were sort of disappointing and there are limited stalls in the wet market section.. probably won't shop there again.
I have boiled the broth when writing this post.. pictures will be posted up another day as I still need to prepare the other items.
But here are some pictures of my Poppy Wa-wa.. she have just gone for her grooming yesterday... fur is really short now but she smells great! Cocker Spaniel's fur is very dense and thick so they easily smell in the humid weather. Short fur is much simpler to maintain.
So fat right? She has been putting on weight and seriously in need to diet! And she very emo one.. see how she refused to look into the camera as I attempted to take face shots of her!
