25 Jul 2011 (Mon) - Buffet Dinner at Festive Hotel

It has been some time since I last had buffet at a hotel.. the last time was when I still working, before my delivery.. Thanks to Desmond, he invited us to a BBQ dinner at Fiesta Restaurant in Festive Hotel on Saturday.


Bb Lucas excited! In the car, on our way to have a late lunch...

 I brought him for a haircut on Fri (his fourth) and gave him a Beckham signature hairstyle on Sat!

 Had a quick lunch at Novena before heading for OG Orchard for shopping...

He is always smiling with his mouth closed recently.. I wonder where did he learn that from...

Look at how tired he is! Yet he refused to nap in his stroller.. distracted by the surrounding.

 

Headed over to RWS and we waited around the lobby for the buffet to start at 6.30pm! 

An apple on a snake... make a guess on the name of this sculpture... "Big Temptation" it is...

 

I was bored so I took pictures of everyone.

Restroom at Festive Hotel... pretty and clean. (see... I said that I was bored...)

And the eating begins...

There was a small section of salads, desserts.. and a bigger section of hot/ bbq items.. However, I find that there is too much meat in the buffet line and limited variety of seafood. Overall, food was not bad... Service was excellent as the staff was attentive and friendly.

There was live singing and we enjoyed the bossa nova music while we ate.. Life is good isn't it!

11 Jul 2011 (Mon) - Lucas' Peekas

Pictures of my favourite boy taken over the past month...

Lucas in the denim jumper that I got for him from Fox Kids collection... It is supposed to be for babies from 12 to 18 months... but as you can see, it fitted him (at 8 month old) nicely. 

 Bringing him for a check-up at his paediatrician's all by myself. Lucky we were there early so there was no queue at the Ultrasound Centre and the clinic. Managed to get everything done within an hour! The usual waiting time just at the clinic would have taken ~2hrs...

My mum often wonder why a grumpy mummy like me can produce such a happy child...I wonder too.. because I remembered feeling less than great throughout my pregnancy...

A tired Lucas in his new (& bigger) car seat. We chose the bright, flowery one from Maxi Cosi over the  other plain colour ones. This design comes with extra cushioning and yet we got it at a discount!

10 Jul 2011 (Sun) - Gross

The sink in my master bedroom has been choked for awhile..I tried to clear whatever that was choking the sink by flushing it with hot water... poking it with chopstick.. flushing it again with heavy flow of water... pouring bleach down the pipe and leaving it overnight.. nothing seems to work..

I tried to open the piece of piping under the sink.. but it was too tight for me to turn open... so finally after a week of trying to make do with that damn sink.. I finally called in the plumber...

This is what he found in the sink pipe... and the drain hole on the toilet floor that the pipings are linked to..

(I hope you are not eating or intending to eat after this)...

Lumps of tangled hair and dirt...

My $60 flew out of the window just because I got lazy.. didn't throw the hair in the dustbin and let it wash down the sink. Guilty.

Lesson learnt.
